IRON MAN 3: James Badge Dale Joins the Party
As Iron Man 3 moves closer to production, each day seems to bring with it some additional casting news. The latest is actor James Badge Dale, whose previous credits include The Grey, Shame and the currently filming The Lone Ranger.
Upandcomers.net reports, "Shane Black will begin directing the second sequel to the saga of Tony Stark, and Dale will be joining the likes of “Iron Man” veterans Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle, as well as fellow Marvel newbies Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley in the impressive cast. Pearce and Hall play scientists who discover the the virus called Extremis, which forces the human brain to rewire itself into becoming stronger. They hope to send it to the US military, but it ends up in enemy hands instead. Dale’s Eric Savin is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army who is reborn as the cyborg Coldblood after dying on the battlefield. Kingsley will be the “Big Bad” villain, though the specifics of his role are still under wraps. Filming is set to begin this month with a release date already set for May 3, 2013."
