REBECCA HALL: In Negotiations For Iron Man 3
With Jessica Chastain dropping out of negotiations due to her schedule, British actress Rebecca Hall is currently negotiating for a significant role in Iron Man 3, which is to begin production shortly.
Says The Hollywood Reporter, "Details of the role are being kept secret, though it is known to be a supporting role. The female lead belongs to Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man’s long-suffering girlfriend Pepper Potts. Insiders say that Potts will be a beefed-up presence in the new movie."
Givn the development and interplay between Tony Stark and Pepper in The Avengers, this is hardly a surprising bit of news.
According to the same piece, Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley are also being discussed for the project, which will star Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle. Shane Black is supposed to serve as writer/director.
