Justice League is Naturalism, not Realism

So says writer and producer Dwayne McDuffie. Read on what the creative force behind so many great cartoons has to say...
According to an interview with The Comic Foundry, in Justice League Unlimited: "We're going for naturalism. If it were realism, nobody would fly. If you want realism, what you should do is look out your window because it's pretty real but it's not entirely entertaining," says Justice League Unlimited writer/producer/story editor Dwayne McDuffie.

"Basically what you want is…if I could fly, that is what I'd do. You want it to feel as if that situation were true, that is how those people would react. You don't want realism at all because there’s nothing more boring than someone trying to do a realistic superhero story."
