Check Out The Raven

Take a look at the latest independent film to hit the web.
The Raven was written by Ricardo Montreuil (who also directed) and Antonio Perez. It stars Victor Lopez as Chris “The Raven” Black. The movie was shot over the course of 48 hours in downtown Los Angeles on a more than modest budget of $5,000.

According to their Facebook page: THE RAVEN FILM
Chris Black possesses a power that could lead to the destruction of the current regime, and they will stop at nothing to destroy him.
The chase is on as Chris runs for his life in this sci-fi thriller set in an alternate and futuristic Los Angeles.

The CGI looks stunning for a short film of its size and scope. This is the new way for small movie makers to get their material out to the public. Studios are finding these and turning shorts into the next feature film.

This could have been very good. And if only there was some sort of connection with the title. But it was very well made, visually.

if he has telekenisis and can move things with his mind, why does he need to pick up the trash can or the car to smash the flying robots? why doesnt he just move the flying robots? good movie though. would be cool to see it as a fully fleshed out concept. isnt this how district 9 got started? short little 10 minute film becomes big blockbuster?
