First Teaser Trailer for The Smurfs Movie

Neil Patrick Harris introduces the first look at the CGI/live-action Smurfs movie currently in production!

Synopsis:

Audiences everywhere are in for a Smurfy good time as the Smurfs make their first 3-D trip to the big screen. When the evil wizard Gargamel (Hank Azaria) chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours — in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.

The Smurfs movie is based on the characters created by Peyo popularized in the long-running children's cartoon of the same name. Raja Gosnell is directing from a screenplay by J. David Stem, David N. Weiss, Jay Scherick, and David Ronn.

Neal Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays also star as a human couple who discover the existence of the Smurfs. Voice actors include Jonathan Winters as Papa Smurf, Anthon Yelchin as Clumsy Smurf, George Lopez as Grouchy Smurf, Alan Cumming as Gutsy Smurf, Fred Armisen as Brainy Smurf, and Katy Perry as Smurfette.

Not crazy about the "Wild Thing" music in this trailer, but it could be a fun blast-from-the-past-style movie.

I am a big fan of the old smurfs, it was one of the first shows i remember watching but the movie even from just the little bit that was shown loods bad.

I DON'T like the way the Smurfs look. There's an artificiality about them, looking more like moving toys than actual characters.
