Mortal Kombat, F.E.A.R. 3, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Video Games Update

Updates on 3 hot video games
Mortal Kombat (April 19, 2011 on Xbox 360 and PS3 from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment) – This newest Mortal Kombat, the 9th in the franchise, takes the classic game and brings it to console systems with classic gameplay elements like the 2D fighting plan and a cast of classic characters. Mortal Kombat revisits the first Mortal Kombat game, and offers a new twist on the original story of the unleashing of Armageddon.

F.E.A.R. 3 (May 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment) – A heart-pounding paranormal first person shooter unleashing intense combat, compelling narrative and co-op play that evolves the franchise. Alma returns in F.E.A.R. 3 but this time her sons Point Man and Paxton Fettel are characters available to play in divergent co-op, giving players distinctly different abilities affecting their own play as well as the experience of their co-op partner. Gamers participate in single player or co-op modes as Point Man or as Paxton Fettel, his conniving brother whose incredible telekinetic power has given him life beyond the grave.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North (2011 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment) – Evolving the RPG genre through innovative online, interdependent co-op play for up to three players who form their own Fellowship, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North breaks new ground as the first The Lord of the Rings video game to embrace the mature and brutal reality of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth. Exploring previously unseen lands, storylines and characters as well as those familiar from past feature films, gamers experience expansive co-op gameplay and upgradeable weapons, character customization and development, skills and special abilities.
