Showrunner Sera Gamble recently revealed that a forthcoming storyline will see the Winchester brothers travel back to the Old West, and explained in a recent interview with TV Line:
"Samuel Colt is an iconic character for the show, and has been since season one. We'll be meeting him later in his life, after many years of fighting demons and tinkiering with magical weapons and Devil's Gates and such. Time hasn't been too kind to the guy, which is pretty par for the course, for a hunter."
As any fan of the show will know, this character (well, his gun!) played a big role in several of the biggest moments in the show, so this episode should definitely be one to keep an eye out for!
Supernatural airs on Fridays at 9/8c on The CW.
