Taylor Lautner & Michael Bay Teaming Up On Action Project
Deadline — which suffers no shortage of scoops — has revealed that a script for a project bringing together director Michael Bay and actor Taylor Lautner is currently out at auction to the studios.
"Like them or not,"muses Deadline, "they're individually successfully. But the duo didn't do a dog-and-pony show to accompany the presentation as so many producers, directors, and stars are these days. Still, both Bay and Lautner (who's on a brief break from shooting Breaking Dawn Part 2) are in town and available if any of the majors want a face-to-face. Bay and Lautner are not discussing the script's story, but insiders tell me 'it's Mr & Mrs. Smith meets Wanted'."
Not to be too cynical, but the jury is still out on whether or not Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga, can carry an action film on his own. The answer should become apparent when the actor's Abduction reaches theatres on September 23rd.
