Straczynski Is The NEW Writer On TWO Major DC Titles

What Two Titles Will The Popular Writer Pen?
DC Comics announced that writer Gail Simone would be leaving "Wonder Woman."

Simone wrote "I’m sad to leave but very, very proud of the work we did together and delighted to have been a small part of Diana’s ongoing epic saga. It’s really been a joy. And I have to say in complete honestly, I am genuinely thrilled by who is taking over the book. It’s someone who is going to rock this book like there’s no tomorrow, and I could not be happier with this choice. They got this one 100% right. I think it’s going to be a new era of greatness for our princess. People are going to freak and that makes me smile a lot."

So who will write DC most popular female character?

This May, DC's "War of the Supermen" event brings change and a new status quo to the Superman titles.





This July, the Eisner Award-winning writer (Thor) is also writing an upcoming relaunch of the Superman mythos in "Earth-1: Superman". Straczynski will also take the reigns of the monthly "Superman" and "Wonder Woman" series. What a busy guy!

Straczynski is jumping on board after a major milestone issues for each character's monthly comic book. "Superman" will hit issue #700 in June, just after the "War of the Superman" weekly event wraps in May. "Wonder Woman" returns to its original numbering with May's #600 issue.
JMS is the new monthly wrtier as of issue #701 and #601.

As of right now, no information was given as to the who will be the
new artist on each comic title.

JMS dream has come true with the opportunity to write for the mainstream title, in a story that "returns Superman to his roots in a way that will have the whole country talking about him in ways that we haven't seen in a long time."
JMS added his thoughts to Wonder Woman "massively exciting. She's a vital, powerful character, and we hope to bring a more contemporary sensibility to her character will retaining everything that makes her unique."

Both titles start on there new path this June, so don't miss out.
