Short Film: The Memory Thief

This is a short film/music video I made set to Tom Waits' Innocent When You Dream, featuring characters from Neil Gaimen's Sandman...
Hey folks. Just a few words about the film. Its inspired by Delirium's search for her dog Barnabas in the final volume of Sandman, The Kindly Ones. Its not a direct adaptation of those sequences, as characters appear in this that do not in the comic, its also much more surreal..basically, anyone not familiar with the characters won't really get what they are on about! And even those that are might find it a bit out there! Music videos eh?;) Anyway, hope you enjoy.

If you get a chance, please rate and/or comment on youtube, thanks:)

Very cool Ror!

Tight editing and I see you busted out The Comedian mask!

I've always wondered-How difficult is it to put in the bits of color with b+w?

hah, yeash i noticed that too Lee, noooice:) Replied to your comment on Tube too, much obliged!

Thanks a mill Dogs/theswof. Mixing teh color with black and whit isn't difficult, just time consuming. You basically just desaturate it and then dab away with the color..only one at a time though or it all bleeds together..some of my shots have a bit of bleeding.

Excellent work Ror! Do I detect a little Felini influence or is it just me? Great choice in music too, Tom Waits is brilliant. Are you a film student/work in the industry or is this a hobby? Either way you've got a lot of talent. I look forward to your next one.

Cheers Angelo. Maybe some Fellini in there:) I am a big fan of 81/2, but it wasn't conscious. I'm a film student at the mo but hope to get into it as a profession afterwards.
