Twitch Film is reporting that Blake Lively - last seen in this summer's Green Lantern - has been offered the lead role for Craig Gillespie's upcoming film adaptation of the hit graphic novel Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. Actresses such as Natalie Portman and Emma Stone have turned down the lead role, and it's currently unknown whether Lively will accept or reject. If she accepts, she will play the character 'Elizabeth Bennet'.
Sources are telling Twitch that director Craig Gillespie has met with the Gossip Girl star and she has been offered the lead role in the film. Nobody seems to have a read yet if she will accept but if she does it will represent a significant change of pace for Lively while finally giving the film the marketable lead it has been struggling to find since day one.
