It is with great sadness that I bring to you the news that Elisabeth Sladen died last night at the age of 63. She finally lost her long battle against cancer. Elisabeth leaves actor husband Brian Miller and daughter Sadie.
Liverpool born actress, Elisabeth Sladen played the role of much loved companion Sarah Jane Smith from 1973-1976, when she was the companion to both Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker’s Doctors.
In 2006, then producer Russell T. Davies invited Elisabeth to reprise the role of Sarah Jane with David Tennant’s Doctor. This led to the spin-off series “The Sarah Jane Adventures”, in which both David Tennant and Current Doctor Matt Smith appeared.
